LHSI Intern Ambassador

(2019-2021) (Senior ambassador 2020-21)

I worked with over 72 interns to help them throughout their internship. I attended expos and fairs to promote the program, managed the interns, and gained professional skills while working with the director.

I wanted to become an ambassador to help mentor interns in the program to become professionals. I hoped to help the program run as smooth as possible while also innovating in new ways.

I learned how to become a great leader and speaker during my first year as an ambassador. I plan to use these skills in my future career as a health leader and educator.

For my work as an ambassador I was an IUPUI Student Employee Award Ceremony Honorable Mention in Spring 2020.

I was awarded a grant to continue working at The Center for Public Health Practice over the summer of 2019. I did some similar things as when I was with LHSI but I was granted more responsibilities and varying tasks. I mainly worked with the ECHO program to enter
data, analyze data, and complete tasks assigned by the program coordinator.

Kroger
(2014-2015)

This was my very first job! I loved being a part of a work team for the very first time. My main duties were bagging groceries, pushing carts, and various tasks throughout the store. This was a very beneficial learning period that I used to understand how to handle the responsibility of having a job, managing my time and money, and balancing work/school life.
