Public Health Professional
Visiting another Country
I visited South Korea to learn more about how healthcare professionals work together in a system to provide the best possible care to their patients. Community, clinical, and public health partners all have to collaborate for the entire health system to run smoothly. I learned much about another culture while being able to visit over 8 different healthcare facilities. I spoke directly to healthcare professionals about their system and how they collaborate with others.

I left Korea knowing more about how the global healthcare and commerce system operates. I gained a better understanding of how smart community planning and resource development can benefit the health of everyone.

I also left Korea with a better understanding of who I am and how I want to help better the health of the world. This trip led to my passion in global health.
